和食や高はし — Restaurant in Asahikawa

Coming here as an english speaking tourist with novice japanese speaking capabilities, i'd recommend this place over the food in the nearby aeon mall as the service feels more cosy and friendly, and the food is really tasty.

Didnt know what to order at first so i started choosing the table menu, however the chef told me that i should go for the seasonal recommenations (outside of menu) and he came up with dish choices for me.

Just remember that this is a smoking-friendly restaurant. Good or solo

Owner Hiroaki Takahashi san, though speak little english is very warm and hospitable. The chef recommendation of the day is great, not what I get from other restaurant. Also ordered a off the menu noodle and it went so well with the seafood tempura! Takahashi san showed us the best way to eat them. 這絕對是在旭川吃到最好吃的一間餐廳，每道料理都是物超所值的好吃，可以感受到老闆對餐點的用心，即便過了用餐時間，也一直都有當地人進店用餐。雖然店內只有日文菜單，大部分餐點都是圖片的，真的不懂我們就請出谷歌翻譯

飯後老闆很熱情的到我們桌邊，在紙條上寫著日文，詢問我們今天餐點都好吃嗎？（老闆知道我們是外地客，知道我們不會日文所以用寫的）我們就靠著谷歌翻譯簡單的聊了天。
