Very lovely owners. Rustic atmosphere. Beautifully tended garden. They also have an annex where they sell handmade pouches, bags, caps, spectacle cases. I forgot to take a photo but they were all beautiful and reasonably priced.
Food was wonderful. Served with seasonal produce. Very fresh, elegant, homely, very good! Proprietress were very honest types.
We ordered bentos for ¥1000, and a yuzen for ¥780 just to see what it was. I think yuzen is just like kyoto obanzai, and without the chawanmushi within the bento set. Each bento comes with the side dishes of the day, a chawanmushi, and a delicious soft serve with a side of equally yummy red bean paste. They were both very very good! I also asked for a hamburg steak with no rice and the lady was happy to oblige. Hamburg was made of wagyu, very soft, creamy, delicious. The mushroom side dishe she used was delicious.
The dishes were all intricately plated. There seemed to be only one person cooking, so come only when you have time.
I highly recommend this place. I hope they can continue serving out their passion for a long long time and live healthy...
