青海波 海の舎 — Restaurant in Awaji

Surprising experience today. I went for the tea time with my girlfriend at this restaurant. The waiter who was in charge of us refused to give us the menu for an unknown reason (capable to see menus on the tables of other customers...) and ask us to go to choose the cakes we wanted to order at the other side of the restaurant. Of course no menu for the drinks also so I just ordered two café lattes to be quick. Finally coming back to the table, they brought us the two slices we ordered and came back later to tell us there was no milk available anymore for the lattes (at 3pm)... Précision, this restaurant is situated between two others very close which are owned by the same group. I'm pretty sure they could have been able to ask for milk there. The cakes were looking and tasting pretty good though. For the price you pay it's really not acceptable I think. Interesting experience having dinner with seikaiha, made a reservation online for 5pm, for a sunset view dinner and the view was breathtaking, the restaurant was situated just right in front of the sea, giving a real unobstructed beautiful view. That being said the set we ordered was tasty, specially recommend ordering extra tempura if you’re a fan of it as the batter is light and crunchy here. Went for the 5pm seating and got a great view of the sunset outside the restaurant just before being seated. We got the set with an assortment of small appetizers, tempura, and sushi. The food was great overall, especially the tempura which was light and crisp. Service was excellent, the staff had performances (trumpet and violin) and there was even a light show near the end of the meal. Overall a great experience at a reasonable price, would recommend it for anyone...
