My First Time at Ayabe Station

On a business trip, I came to Ayabe Station for the first time. Since it was my first visit, I thought it would be nice to have some ramen, so I searched for a shop on Tabelog. I found a place that looked like a traditional ramen shop and decided to go.

When I entered the restaurant, no one came out for a while. I wondered if it might be closed, but since the lights were on and the door was open, I waited a little longer. Eventually, someone came from the back and took my order. It also took a bit of time before the chef appeared, so if you’re in a hurry, this may not be the best place.

I ordered the set of shoyu ramen and tenshinhan (crab omelet rice). As expected from the appearance, it had that nostalgic, old-fashioned ramen taste, but it was actually quite good. The tenshinhan especially had that classic Chinese-restaurant flavor I love—it felt nostalgic and was very much to my liking.
