やえ珈琲店 — Restaurant in Ayagawa

Overall experience wise I am giving this 5 stars.

While for the food only I might have given it 4, as there are definitely places more tasty, the deliciousness was at least overall 4 star quality.

Place (including a massive parking lot): 5 stars for the space and relaxing atmosphere. It's a good place for post COVID-19 since it is not cramped.

Pudding dessert: 3.5 stars Curry (two flavours) we had that day: 4.5 Iced Chai: 5 stars

Service was exceptionally fast and no waiting in a line because the place was huge, which often is a problem with curry shops and other little non franchised places with tiny premises. 5 stars.

Drink wise you only have water and then chai (hot or cold) to choose from, but that is apparently the experience they want you to have right? 5 stars.

Finally, Bon Iver was being played the whole time which added an eloquent peaceful vibe...

While there are only two choices of curry on the menu - beef/tomato and prawn/coconut - I’ve got to give it five stars for whole dining experience. The space is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, and as hubby pointed out, every detail from the spoons to the lighting fixtures have been chosen with care. And the food itself is delicious!! Particularly good was the crispy poppadoms on the side and the crunchy veggies. I had the prawn and coconut, which was creamy but not too sweet. And the hot chai was very welcome on this cold winter day!! Another plus is there is ample seating (two floors and outside) and quick, efficient service. My only complaint is that they should open evenings too, and expand their menu - pizza and cocktails in such a place would...

想像以上の激狭道を抜けた先に、広い駐車場が左手に有ります。 県道282号線からﾍｱﾋﾟﾝｶｰﾌﾞを曲がったら、激狭道の始まりです。幅広の3ﾅﾝﾊﾞｰに乗ってて、運転には自信が有りますが、正直対向車が来たらどうするのか、一抹の不安が有りました。 そんなこんなで、たどり着いたやえ珈琲店。

入店した途端に違和感を感じました。 古民家をﾘﾉﾍﾞしたというよりも、古民家と言えるほど古く無い家をまだﾘﾉﾍﾞ中という感じ。内装もﾍﾞﾆﾔが丸出しだったり、床もﾃﾞｺﾎﾞｺのｾﾒﾝﾄ。机・椅子やｶﾄﾗﾘｰもひと目安物、この時点で興醒め。

おすすめのやえ食堂とｺﾗﾎﾞした「ｽﾊﾟｲｽｶﾚｰ」と本日のｺｰﾋｰ(ﾌﾞﾗｼﾞﾙ)を注文。ｽﾊﾟｲｽｶﾚｰは普通に美味しかったけど、これを目当てにﾘﾋﾟするほどでは有りません。

ただ食後に飲んだｱｲｽｺｰﾋｰは絶品でした。いつもはﾎｯﾄをﾌﾞﾗｯｸですが、今日は何気にｱｲｽｺｰﾋｰに。 ｻｰﾌﾞされたｱｲｽｺｰﾋｰには、写真のようにｶﾑｼﾛｯﾌﾟもﾐﾙｸも付いていません。 まあ、良いかとひと口飲むと何とも言えない美味しさ。ﾌﾙｰﾃｨなまろやかさが堪りません。香川県で飲んだｱｲｽｺｰﾋｰの中では、間違いなくﾄｯﾌﾟｸﾗｽ。 いつもｶﾞﾑｼﾛｯﾌﾟとﾐﾙｸは付けないのか聞いてませんが、これには説明が必要です。 『当店のｱｲｽｺｰﾋｰはぜひﾌﾞﾗｯｸで飲んでみて下さい』と。
