Curry & Cafe Shibabe — Restaurant in Bizen

The atmosphere : the place has a shop inside. You are looking for accessories? clothing? Well, you shall find something here. The background music, when I was here, was baroque music. Relaxing and comfortable. It feels like tou can seat for hours and contemplate the time passibg by or just the small garden outside. The seats are very comfortable. Go for the leather covered seats. They are way better than the wooden ones. The restaurant is a curry place, but it breathes a fusion of European modern design and also modern Japanese feeling. Well, it is in Bizen and the city is renowned for its pottery. You will see here some beautiful art crafts.

The food: it is a Japanese curry restaurant. You can order different sorts of curry: vegetables, seafood, beef, pork sirloin. You might take a look at the sweets menu as well! Cakes and other sweets are available to be ordered. There is also a large choice of drinks. I ordered the cleopatra curry and it was quite sweet. Well. It is based on another Okayama famous fruit, the grape. You will fins some in your plate. It was sweet but also a little bit spicy as I asked them to put more heat in mine. You can also choose the amoubt of rice you would like to eat. For dessert, a set of ice cream, tart, pudding and skne fresh fruit. Briefly said, it was all tasty and flavourful.

さつまいものスープ 爽やかに甘い。 トッピングの赤粒は胡椒。辛い訳では無いが目と舌のアクセントにいいですね👍

サラダ ちぎりレタスにタマネギチップを散らして、スライスパプリカ、キュウリ、二十日大根にフレンチソース。 さつまいものブロックが入っててびっくり。

カレー すべてを溶かし飲み込んだようなまっ平らな長いお皿。きっと凄まじい量と種類の野菜が溶け込んでいることが想像できます。 ご飯は粒が大きくとってもしっかりしています。かみごたえ十分。 それでいて中辛スパイシーなカレールーは液体なので、するする食べ、いや飲めます。 まさに「カレーは飲み物」と言えますね🍛 福神漬は大根感残しながら、とってもシャキシャキ歯ごたえよしです👍

栗のタルト デザートはざっと口頭で紹介される10種類の中なら選びます。最初の方忘れるので注意です😂 タルト生地はかなり硬め。フィルのアーモンドクリームも硬め。でもバターの香りしっかりでいい感じ。 栗は中指の爪くらいの小さい栗を更にハーフカット。時期的に…とは思いましたが、タルト生地は面白かったです。 本物の栗の葉が敷いてありますが、一般の方は説明しないとわからないのでは❓❓と思ったり😅

ランチにやって来たのは備前市のシバベさん、県内のカレー店では有名な店舗さんです。旧二号線から一本北に入った新幹線高架下に位置します。

店内では雑貨も販売されていて、お洒落な空間を演出されています。窓からは木々が眺められ小鳥たちが枝の中で遊んでいました。天井は高く、丸木組みで開放感もあります。

注文はビーフカレーをセット（1800円）でお願いしました。すぐにさつまいもポタージュとサラダが運ばれてきます。濃厚なポタージュ、粒胡椒がアクセントになっています。サラダの下部にはさつまいも・林檎もあってボリューム感あります。

ビーフカレー、野菜を長時間煮込んだルーは味に深みがあります。辛口仕様は後からスパイスが迫ってきます．．．うーん、いい感じです^^;　ビーフはじっくり煮込まれたタイプではなく表面を焦がし焼きしたストレートなもの、肉の味をしっかり堪能できます。
