三船鮨 — Restaurant in Chiba

The name of the establishment is Mifune Zushi.

I was brought here by some friends in Japan. It's an incredibly unassuming place and very easy to miss. Once inside, the elderly couple who own the establishment were very quick to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. They don't speak English but they were very warm and hospitable.

The food was top-notch and the quality of the ingredients used was superb. I'm not much for raw food but I thoroughly enjoyed myself there.

I later learned that the chef has been making sushi for over 60 years and running this establishment for over 40 years!

This meal was outstanding value for money and I'm definitely coming back!

３年ぶりの訪問でした。
