Il Porto — Restaurant in Chino

Great setup. Great interior design. Great wood burning fireplace. Great table service. And that's where the greatness of this restaurant ends. For the price, the food served ranks lower than a street side restaurant in some lowly city in an under developed country. 1700 Yen for an 8 inch pizza baked in a normal electric oven using ready made pizza base bought off the shelf! The cheese was not fresh mozzarella.... But the factory packed cheap cheese that you can buy at your local departmental store. Even a 500 Yen brick oven pizza in Tokyo tastes way better. The risotto was a disgrace.... Hardly any cheese.. And just an overwhelming stench of the disproportionately used sea food, which didn't seem fresh. And that mess costs 2000 Yen! The tiramisu was anything but a tiramisu... The Japanese twist on the flavour completely destroyed what should have been the perfect ending. The coffee.. Just about alright....
