Amazen — Restaurant in Eiheiji

Meh... We have eaten here 3 times so far. As far as sauce katsudon places go I think its pretty middle ground. To be fair this most recent visit was very bad. We have to wait 2-3 minutes. No big deal. Our server tell us (in Japanese) "that's too bad, i'm really sorry you had to wait" but it might have been the most insincere expression of words I have heard in my life. The guy had no social skills and was just a terrible person to be on the floor seating people, taking orders, etc. We sit at the counter. The edge was super sticky. Weird paint, oil from the kitchen, I don't know which. We ask to be reseated at a table. Its rickety and we have to fix one of the legs (not a big deal, but this is huge pet peeve of mine). We get more bad insincere service from the lifeless robot server guy. The katsudon is decent, and price is okay. No complaints there. They have a cool and delicious kimchi katsudon I haven't seen anywhere else in Fukui. But this time both my wife and I were served rice that was too dry. And you know if I can tell rice is bad, its bad. I am nowhere near as picky about rice or nearly as sensitive as those...

お盆休みに福井県立恐竜博物館を訪れた帰り、13時30分ごろに3人で初めて訪れました。 駐車場はお店の周りにありました。

店内は満席、1組待ちで入り口のボードに名前と人数を記入して15分ほど待ちました。 私達の後もお客様が次々と来店されます。 待合席には芸能人の写真が貼ってあり、人気店みたいです。

店内はカウンター5席、テーブル5卓、小上がり3卓と中2階にもフロアーがあるようでした。 名前を呼ばれて4人掛けのテーブル席につきました。

今回は事前に福井市周辺でソースカツ丼と越前おろし蕎麦が食べれるお店を調べていました。

注文はタッチパネルから、人気No.1は岩塩ヒレかつになってましたが、ソースカツ丼は外せないので、ヒレソースカツ丼そばset1280円(甘海老そば＋100円)...

評価が高かったので期待して行ったのでガッカリ感が大きかったです イチオシメニューの岩塩ヒレカツ定食を頂きました

まずご飯です 米どころの福井だけに期待してましたがパッサパサのご飯が出て来ました 長い事保温したせいなのか 炊き方の問題なのか不明ですが 定食の白ご飯としてはイマイチ 個人的にやわらかめのご飯が好きなせいもあるかも知れません

次に味噌汁です めちゃくちゃ塩辛かった 濃い味好きな方ですがあまりに辛くて店員さんに白湯を貰って薄めたらちょうどいい加減になりました

煮詰まったせいなのか 元々そういう味付けなのかは不明ですがそのままでは飲めませんでした

肝心のヒレカツ ん〜食べやすさ優先なのか とにかく細かくカットし過ぎ 肉が薄くなり歯ごたえが薄い もう少し厚い方がもっと美味しいのではないかなと感じました

こだわりの岩塩は2種ついてきますがどちらかを選べる様にして 代わりにポン酢かソースも付けて欲しいと感じました

総合的に金額の割には 残念な定食でした
