A little slice (pun-intended) of paradise on earth. This bakery, hidden in the Mount-Fuji countryside, delivers some of the best French pastries I've ever had - and I've lived in Paris for 5 years. The baked goods are just amazing. Flaky pain au chocolat, warm baguette, buttery financiers, a proper galette des rois You name it. Everything is just exquisitely made. It's not allowed to take pictures of the interior, but once inside you're transported to Sofia Copolla's Marie Antoinette movie. As kitsch, cute and french as you can imagine. The hospitality and sympathy of the owners was off the charts. We were very tired after a biking day and they provided us with chairs and fresh water. Sitting outside, on a tree bench, eating pastries while the sun sets and birds chirp will forever be one of my favorite memories of my Japan...

I have travelled the world looking for the best chocolate croissant. Unfortunately their chocolate croissant though excellent was not the numbero uno. Their apple cake may claim to be king but I would once again suggest it is superb but does not rule them all. However royalty does indeed live in this bakery in the form of the King Kouign Aman. The Kouign Aman that laughs in the face of all other pastries. It's caramel coating crumbles your defense's whilst the perfectly textured pastry finishes the onslaught by catapulting your tastebuds into a realm of the unknown. The owners are obviously dedicated pastry professionals that belong on their own thrones and all us mortals that ride past this godly bakery should definitely stop in to pay tribute, failing to do so, in my opinion constitute a crime of self...

A nice bakery with delicious bakes that were not too sweet - just nice for us.

We got a blueberry tart, a kouign aman and a blueberry banana bread. It was tough to choose, everything looked great.

My favourite has to be the kouign aman which came with a torched sugar crust that complemented the buttery flaky croissant well. We had it a day after we bought it too, so it also kept well in the Spring. It was so good that I forgot to take a photo for this review.

It’s a nice quaint little bakery to get your...

We were cycling around the 5 lakes and wanted to stop off somewhere for pastries and a bit of breakfast. We came across this place on Maps, and couldn’t believe it when we arrived - in the middle of a seemingly sleepy town I had the best pastries of my life. I was utterly astonished at how incredible the baking was - we had financiers, madeleines, pastries and caneles, genuinely the most delicious I’ve ever had. Totally amazed by this experience and how friendly and welcoming the owners were. Couldn’t recommend more.

This bakery is well situated next to forest, breezing cool weather and the green view add a mystic ambient to the building. The owner is so friendly and welcome us both during the drizzling in kawaguchiko. The bakery is so good, we keep buying more and more. And they are so kind and give us free coffee. We took the bakery and dining under the tree outside. Thank you, and wishing your bakery keep growing.

We were cycling around the lakes and wanted to visit a bakery for breakfast. We found this little gem tucked away about 5min off the lake track. We ordered the almond croissant, kouign aman, pain au chocolat and apple pie. We sat outside and they brought out camping chairs and blankets to keep us warm. Everything was so delicious we had to go grab a second kouign aman before leaving!
