It's got a lot of different options for food, but just know that the fish and chips is not the traditional western style of fried filets, they are whole small fish including head and tail. The shougayaki is delicious and so was the Japanese-style hamburger. Their desserts were nice but not amazing. As it's one of only a handful of restaurants in the Lake Shoji area, I'd say it's a good place to eat, the service was a lacking though.

Just had a lovely lunch with view on lake shōji. Friendly staff, clean place, good quality food. The fish and chips are very good too... I don't understand the bad reviews of people who come to Japan and hope to eat 'their' fatty fish & chips (that doesn't even taste like fish and which they eat with 1kg of ketchup to mask the little taste it already has).

Quaint little restaurant run by very friendly people. Very nice view of Shojiko from the restaurant! Wait time for food was somewhat long and the food was just ok. We ordered the fish and chips. Portion was small. The fish were small battered bits (or small fish?) which tasted extremely fishy if eaten without mayo or ketchup. Not fab in my opinion.

Lors de notre voyage au mont Fuji, nous nous sommes garés 5 minutes devant ce restaurant afin de prendre en photo le lac. En quittant la place de parking, une employée du restaurant s'adresse à nous en criant, de manière agressive, pour nous dire que le parking est interdit aux non clients et qu'il faut payer des charges. Cela n'était pas indiqué sur le parking (ou du moins pas explicitement). Nous, ne parlant pas japonais, elle continuait à nous crier dessus "charges" et faire des gestes impatients de la main, malgré que nous nous sommes excusés plusieurs fois. Les japonais en général polis et accueillants, et nous, étant des touristes respectueux, nous avons été sidérés par cette agression, le manque de politesse de cette dame, l'attitude peu commerciale de ce restaurant. Si vous ne souhaitez pas que des personnes non clientes se garent, n'hésitez pas à afficher un panneau explicite devant les places de parking. Sinon, vous pouvez également adopter une attitude polie pour informer les personnes que le parking est réservé à...
