This is my favourite restaurant at Taisekiji, run by an elderly couple. They are warm and kind. When you enter, they will serve you a huge plate of salad and a warm cup of ocha. My favourite dish is their nabeyaki udon. This time, I also requested to blend it with curry. It tastes so unique. I eat here before I attend Gokaihi!

2022/2/19 文句なし！ 大石寺の売店通りは閑散としているのにこの食堂はたくさんの人で賑わってます！常連さんも多いようですね。 おばちゃんの人柄、食事が美味しい、値段がリーズナブル、サービスがよいなど理由は色々あるようです。 我らはワンコ同伴なので残念ながら店内での食事はできませんでしたが店頭に並ぶおばちゃんの手作り梅干しを今日は紹介します。 梅干し(年間販売) 大パック　600円 小パック　300円 小パック(つぶれ梅) 300円 小パックより大パックの方が内容量は多くお得、小パックよりつぶれ梅の方が内容量は多いそうなので形にこだわりがなければ小パックのつぶれ梅が一番お得だそうです。 見た目も魅力的な梅干しですが味も格別です。田舎の懐かしい超絶に酸っぱい梅干し。日本人ならクセになるやつ。塩辛くはありませんのでお茶うけにも最適かと。 この日店内に入ると梅干しの試食、温かいお茶のサービス。外でワンコと待つ相方にも。手ふきやティッシュも用意して頂き恐縮してしまうほど。梅干しの他のにも辛子味噌も購入、釜あげうどんや炊きたてのご飯に美味しそう。こちらも試食可！おばちゃんのサービスはこれには留まらず、梅をつけた赤じそを乾燥した「ゆかり」、つぶれ梅のおまけなど至れり尽くせり。 ３月の終わりに頃には桜が満開になるからまたおいでと言葉をかけてもらいました。 また梅干しがなくなったら３月待たずにすぐきます！ 取扱いしている「もちやの草餅」は冷凍品なのですぐには食べられません。自然解凍し固くなったらトースターなどで焼きましょう！レンチンすると餅が溶けてドロドロになるので注意が必要だよ。 外でのフードスペース(ペット可)があれば最高なんだけどね～

Tasty home cook feel -udon, soba noodle, curry variation, reasonable price, abt US $ 5-7 per dish. The owner , Kyoko is very nice & gracious host. Fresh free salad. No english menu , but you can just order the popular dishes/ nooldes from the pictures on Google review here . Business hour: 11am - 4pm on Gokaihi ceremony day only ( Sat - Tues)...
