Update on May review: December 2024 - Terrible experience today. Our order took 30 minutes to arrive at our table. It was busy, but by no means full. Lots of people waiting. Then they brought our food and gave it to another table! This is despite using table numbers and order numbers... I'm really baffled how they could get it wrong. The person taking the order also missed fries from my daughters order. Just to make all this worse the food was luke warm when we finally got it, like it had been sat waiting to be brought to us for a while. Like fast food and good service?... avoid this McDonalds. For shame!
McDonald's in Japan is significantly cheaper than in the UK. They also offer different products and more healthy options. The Happy Meal for example (Happy Setto) can come with a side of edamame and sweetcorn, or a side salad... and not just a fruit bag or fries as in the UK. This particular restaurant is really handy for the coast road and beach at Enoshima. If you are parking here there are no instructions how to use the parking system in English. It has those mechanical parking clamps that raise under your car to prevent you from leaving until you've paid. Parking is free for an hour here if you are a customer. When you arrive you got to the machine outside and select your parking space (numbered) and it will give you a ticket. After you finish your meal you take it to the counter and they will give you a card to insert into the machine. You enter your space number again and the clamp releases your car. Large paid parking lot with validation for purchases, lot of spaces for bicycles too as this is right next to the beach. Motorcycle parking is a little odd, there is a tiny area next to the delivery scooters, but I was suggested to park with the bicycles by another rider. As for the service, typical excellent service in Japan. Food was good, as expected. The place has been renovated and there are three self order terminals on the first floor and two on the second floor where there is a play set for kids and much more seating than downstairs. Super Stoked, and its not a bad thing since I like to eat at McDonald's once in a while. The newly renovations are great and has that new look to it. The employees were very friendly and nice and efficient.
I hope now it remains that way and since its going to be open 24hrs. It'll be nice to drop by for a cup of coffee and a hashbrown in the AM!.
