Mako's Café — Restaurant in Fukuoka

A small, cozy and retro themed cafe with a great view of the sea.

From the moment we entered, the staffs were so cheerful and we felt very welcomed. :)

The ice coffee had hints of chocolate which was delightful. We were even given a small piece of chocolate to complement the coffee & tea. For food, we only ordered the jerk chicken sandwich and it was sumptuous. The other sandwiches were unique as well but we were too full to try.

The prices were affordable and should you drive here there are a few amount of parking lots and you can park at the road side before the cafe if needed.

Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again if we were here in Fukuoka again.

Also, the staff even helped us take a photo outside the cafe.

Disappointing... I went to visit the place on a Thursday at 2 pm, the place was empty and to my surprise they wouldn't let us stay. Claiming that my daughter could not stay. I felt bad and felt that the woman who attended us was prejudiced against me and my family for being foreigners. First time this happens here in Japan....

I came from Uminonakamichi Seaside Park and wanted somewhere to eat nearby. Luckily this was just a station away. First off, I loved the American theme to this “diner” here. The food was very delicious and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing as you can face the ocean when you choose to sit outside.
