Kaitan — Restaurant in Ginoza

Kaitan is truly a hidden gem where is appears very unassuming but offers great service, amazing food at affordable prices that locals would go too. The shop is run by a pair of very friendly and cute elderly couple who would chat with us, and share with us things to do in Okinawa even though we didn't speak Japanese and are foreigners. We ordered sushi, yakitori and and Awamori sake and all was nothing short of amazing.

This is a lovely local gem run by an old married couple. The lady can speak English well and over dinner we conversed over multiple topics. She taught us about the indigenous Okinawa people and their culture. The food made by the man was fresh and tasty. Un posto dolcissimo e super autentico. Se si cerca qualcosa di tipico è perfetto, con tatami e pochi piatti fatti benissimo. All'ingresso la signora ti dice subito che è un posto tipico giapponese e che quindi non si può pagare con bancomat. Il signore cucina ogni singolo piatto al momento, compreso il riso.
