I walked here from Kabushima Shrine. Took less than 30 mins along the Michinoku Trail. I wish I liked uni or felt brave enough to try Sea Squirt sashimi. Next time!
Today, I had my old stand by, grilled mackerel. But to feel local, I tried a house specialty, the mountain and sea onigiri (pictured). It was the best onigiri 🍙 I’ve had in 20 years. Meaning the best EVER.
Everyone else seemed to be ordering iso ramen, which I gather has local seaweed in the broth.
Beyond the scrumptious local seafood, the coastal setting is AMAZING. Perched above the rocks with sea spray in the air, you couldn’t think of a better place to enjoy the daily catch. I love this place and want to bring my family someday....

Very difficult to find and reach to the shop. The road to/from the shop is narrow and single line so only one car one way can drive at once so be careful.
However, I feel the price is little too high. 3,500¥ for Sashimi Teishoku. Also, the fact that majority of tables are TATAMI styles which are really inconvenient for even Japanese people. Why don't they just replace them with tables and chairs?? It is too old style. This is why -1...

Ordered a la carte instead of set meals, since we were not that hungry. Rice balls weren't very impressive, we preferred the sashimi, live shellfish like scallops, surf clams and oysters.
