HALAL ok VEGAN ok

Vegans can also enjoy a menu that includes eel cuisine made with tofu, delicious vegetable salads, soups, and teas. I recommend the tofu tiramisu and coffee as they go very well together.

The owner is cute.

The following text is a message from the owner on the restaurant's menu, translated from Japanese to English.

I, Sayuri Hatakeyama, was born as the second daughter of a rice farmer whose family name was Takahashi Sohei. We had no male siblings to succeed us, and my father passed away without a successor being chosen. After my father passed away, I moved back to my parents' house with my family, who were already married, and started my own business in 2000. I decided to pursue a new style of agriculture. In 2004, I started selling my original brand of pesticide-free brown rice called "Sobe's Rice" on the Internet. In 2007, we opened Sobe's Café. Now, many products such as amazake (sweet sake) and cookies are available, and they are gaining popularity. In 2020, 20 years after starting the business, I changed my name from "Sayuri Hatakeyama" to "Takahashi Sobei. Now that I am Sobei in both name and reality, I am renewing my commitment to pass on the ideas of my ancestors to the next...

The restaurant offer all vegan and halal foods! I had a plant-based eel box to the heavenly plant-based tiramisu, every dish bursts with flavor! The attention to detail in recreating the complex texture of the eel is mind-blowing – you won't believe it's not the real fish!

The tiramisu tastes very light with a good balance of coffee, chocolate, and plant-based cream. One is not enough!

The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels like a warm embrace, and don't miss the shop corner stocked with an array of vegan and halal goodies!

Can't wait to return on my next trip to Hanamaki City,...

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Japan! The food and desserts are amazing and everything is vegan! The owner is very friendly and kind. The chefs are highly skilled. The atmosphere of the shop is relaxing and comfortable. I have been here twice so far. It is a 2.5 hour drive from where I live (Aomori) but I want to go again to try all the other things on the menu!...
