Root — Restaurant in Hatsukaichi

On my first trip to Japan, I experienced a local restaurant. Root is an absolute gem. It had the feel of a true family run restaurant. Root offers friendly service, a great atmosphere, incredibly delicious Teppanyaki, and drinks! You can choose from a variety of cuisines, including delicious items from the Hiroshima area and Japanese Western cuisine (Japan's unique approach to Western cuisine). And if you're in the mood for something a little more adventurous, Root also serves delicious offal. All items ordered were excellent. You can tell that every dish is prepared with the utmost care and attention. Root has cold beer and a great cocktail menu. For whiskey lovers, Root has a great selection (over 100). The restaurant is clean, warm, inviting, and stays open later than other places in the area. We will definitely return to this gem when staying in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima.
