Just amazing!! It seems very boring and not special at all but it turned out as the exact opposite. This restaurant ist literally a one man show. The owner/cook/server was just awesome. You could literally taste and feel the love for his job. We had the steak&pasta menu and everything was perfect: great salad with a nice dressing, the soup was very tasteful with extremely tender pieces of meat. Very unexpectedly tasty was also the pasta. It was a chicken pasta and he recommended the wasabi cream sauce…just wow!! I’ve never tasted anything like this before: just the perfect fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisine. However the steak was the real highlight: The cook invited us to watch him cook the steak and he really did put on a show!! But it didn’t only look very nice; the wagyu steak was super tender and tasted incredible. Also the garlic toast was a great side dish. And last but not least the desert was just unexpected. As shown in the picture we had a buttercake with blueberries and a lemon cream which complemented extremely well. All in all this restaurant absolutely exceeded our expectations!! Great service (really good English), great food with a lot of local products and just a great ‘host‘ who really cared about his guests. Definitely...
Read moreUnbelievable experience! I would consider this place the Kikkoman Live Kitchen Tokyo of Hiroshima and Yamaguchi.
The chef studied Italian, French, and Steak cuisine in Kobe for three years. He’s from the local area (just south of Miyajimaguchi Station), and wanted to set up his restaurant in this area.
His dinners are unique and creatively put by him. A masterpiece of deliciousness.
He has Japanese and English menus. The hours are great! Closed on Tuesday, but otherwise open 11:00AM to about 10:30PM. The chef and his staff speak some English. We ordered the ¥4600 (per person) six-course dinner, it was fabulous. He has a nine-course dinner, but you’ll need to call ahead and make reservations.
This is a must go if you’re visiting near Hiroshima or Miyajima. Parking is plentiful for the size of the restaurant, but the spaces are a...
Read moreThis was an incredible meal, and the vibe here is so awesome. If you’re looking for a nice dinner/lunch spot after Miyajima, Cafe Tino is well worth a quick trip from Onourah Station. Chef Shinji and the other staff were so friendly and fun to spend time with. He’s such a nice dude. If you go, you have to sit up at the counter so you can chat with him and watch him do his magic at the grill. 🔥
We chose the set dinner, because I’ve always wanted to try Wagyu beef. The meal was delicious. We started with a tarte plum soup, fresh salad, garlic bread and the main entree - perfectly grilled steak and spring vegetables. The fresh wasabi was also amazing. Thank you for having us, Chef Shinji! We would come here all the time if we didn’t live...
