ベル — Restaurant in Higashi Hiroshima

I expected this place to be a regular western style restaurant you could order single items at (like pasta or steak). No. It was a high class restaurant absolutely packed with paintings, sculptures, pianos, flowers, etc everything a japanese person would think looks ‘european’, and offered only courses. There was the ‘steak course meal’ for 3000 yen, and some other course, and the course of the day for 4500 yen, which i took.

The 4500 yen course meal was delicious, certainly (it better be because it wasn’t cheap). The owner and the lady serving us were super cute and made small talk sometimes.

本日のディナー4,500円をいただきました。前菜、スープ、お魚のお皿、お肉のお皿、デザートと、どれも手の込んだお料理で美味しく、大満足のコースでした。

初めにドリンクを頼むのかな、と思っていたら、頼む前からレモン水とジンジャーエールが出てきました。我々、家族はお酒は、あまり飲まないため、これで十分。ドリンク代で、もう少し掛かるかな、と思っていたのが掛からず、お得な気分になれました。頼めばお酒もあるのか、と思います。
