The food is really excellent, but the service is quite bad. First, they have no patient with kid, our kid with only 4 years old and they are being quite mean and harsh to him even though our kid is behaving very well. When you open the reservation and state clearly allowing kids for visiting, but it turns out your staffs attitude are being rude to kids. This kinda explains why the population rate is low in Japan as they really have no patient with kids. Secondly, they never explain to us that onion can be requested to exclude for refilling. When we only leave over HALF onion, they are quite mean and demanding us to finish the onion. They can do more explanation before we asked for refilling the vegetable set. Moreover, they attitude can be nicer, should be kindly reminding us instead of demanding and ordering. Apparently this restaurant is targeting tourists like us, however, they do not do enough explanation on refilling the food. They can also state clearly that, NO LEFT OVER IS ALLOWED, EVEN A PIECE OF ONION. Lastly, there are beefs with extremely high fat portion (just like the fat they used to prehot the pan), then we separate the fat from the meat, their staffs come to us and demand us again for not allowing to separate the fat. Can anyone help my blood vessel separate the fat? I am sure the service from this restaurant should have a large improvement if they are still targeting to earn money...
Read moreI've never encountered a more unpleasant Japanese restaurant owner. The dining experience was abysmal. While the first serving of meat was excellent, the subsequent portions were mediocre at best. The most infuriating aspect was the strict rule against leaving any uneaten meat; everything had to be consumed. Although the all-you-can-eat buffet was inexpensive, the initial vegetable platter was excessively large, creating pressure to finish it all. Most men would be quite full after that, leaving room for only two more meat orders at most.
The atmosphere was unsettling from the start. Diners ate in strained silence, creating an almost militaristic dining environment. I witnessed a Taiwanese couple at a nearby table leave two slices of meat. The staff overlooked it and were about to let them leave when the owner reviewed the bill, noticed the uneaten meat, and then loudly reprimanded his staff for their oversight. His anger was excessive and unreasonable. He immediately ordered his staff to retrieve the couple, demanding an apology and payment for the leftover meat. The couple returned, apologized, and paid, yet the owner continued to berate them.
In short, such establishments are a guaranteed recipe for frustration and are...
Read moreI initially made the reservation after seeing a recommendation on Instagram. Upon being seated, I noticed that the pot provided was for shabu-shabu. I informed the staff, but they said there would be a 1,000-yen fee to change the sauce. After double-checking my reservation details later, it was clear that I had booked the sukiyaki set. I’m not sure whether this was due to the staff's carelessness or an intentional attempt to deceive tourists. During the meal, the staff's attitude was poor, even to the point of being rude. On that day, all the other diners were from Hong Kong or Macau, and even the Hong Kong guests found the service terrible, which speaks volumes about the level of service. As for the food, the premium meat was up to standard, but the only impressive part was the...
