I spent an entire year in Japan studying at the nearby Kansai Gaidai University, and I will say that I must've met about half or more of my friends in Japan at Cheers Jr. it truly is the local meeting place for exchange students, and serves as a great place to meet both foreigners and Japanese people. This place gave me so many memories, and is without a doubt one of the best bars I've ever patronized. The main bartender, Atsushi, makes a concerted effort to get to know each and every one of his customers, and maintains a strong interest in all of them. His bar also employs many local and exchange students, many of whom are my close personal friends. The bar's drinks are both incredibly affordable and outstandingly delicious, and its lively atmosphere will end up making it like a second home for its patrons. I cannot stress enough how great this bar is, and I highly recommend anybody, from exchange students to expats in Osaka prefecture to local Japanese to check this bar out. UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD BABY!

Cheers Jr is truly one of the best place I've been to in Japan, it totally shaped my entire exchange experience :) The drinks are delicious and really affordable so its perfect for university students. The bartenders are really friendly and the people you'll meet there are amazing. Highly recommend the Sweet Romance, Alien Brain Hemorrhage and Momo Fizz!

I’ve had some of my best experiences of my study abroad here, and I’ve met some life time friends that I never would have met otherwise. Thank you Cheers Jr., Atsushi, and Akira, I’ll always recommend your business to new students~!

Cheers Jr. is by far the best bar in all of Japan. Good people and great bartenders add to a comfortable atmosphere where you know you’ll have a good time every time you stop by. I will never forget the great memories I had playing Jack Pot and just simply having unforgettable memories with my friends. The famous Moscow Mule is a must try! Plus if you’re hungry, you can always stop by ages for a delicious pizza that is better than anything I’ve ever had...

Best bar near KGU for students. Super awesome bartenders that speak English and let you pick songs from Spotify! I discovered my favourite Japanese cocktail here: Matcha Kahlua with milk. What can be better than a spiked iced matcha latte?! I recommend this drink to everyone who isn't lactose intolerant.

My only issue is that this place is TINY, lol. Can't blame them though since Japan is quite small so there's not a...
