Coffee&Dining U'ilani — Restaurant in Hofu

I just moved to Hofu and was pleasantly surprised about this cafe. The staff were very kind and courteous towards me from the beginning. It was raining when I walked here so it was a quiet late morning.

The staff kindly recommended the macadamia nut pancake and I ordered the double. I also ordered a hot decaf coffee. It cost about 1700 yen which is mid range and not too bad every once in a while as a treat.

Anyways the coffee was excellent and had a wonderful aroma. I like to drink my coffee black but this time I added some sugar and milk. It was excellent 👌.

The double pancake had a delicious sauce and had a wonderful taste to it. I was very full after eating it and recommend the single pancake unless you are quite hungry.

All in all the staff smiled a lot and were very kind. I hope others will come here too, because the staff were so kind and warm and the Hawaiian feeling...

One of the few bad meals I had in Japan while traveling the country since 2018. Food tasted burnt, volume was not enough and the male waiter was not friendly. I arrived 4 minutes after lunch period only because the restaurant I wanted to visit originally had closed earlier that day. I asked if lunch would still be possible, but he just flatly refused. Stopped in for a cup of coffee and ended up ordering the spam musubi. They were so good!! We had other plans for lunch, but after seeing some of the food coming out of the kitchen we will definitely be going back to have some lunch or pancakes! S Service was good and prices were reasonable. They do have a small parking lot in front, but you can also walk easily from the Hofu...
