pizzeria da ISOLANI ピッツェリア ダ イゾラーニ — Restaurant in Imabari

Awesome little shop on the main loop of Hakatajima with cozy vibes and excellent staff serving the best pizza I've had in Japan so far.

They were happy to answer questions regarding dietary restrictions (I'm lacto-ovo vegetarian) and the appetizer salad that the lunch pizza set came with was delicious. The chef here really knows what they're doing!

The pizzas came freshly baked and were of excellent size (26cm across).

I asked them if they would consider adding Calzones to the menu, and they said no but they would make them on request!

So I had to come back for dinner, but unfortunately I didn't have time to dine in, so did takeaway instead. (Make sure you call in advance to let them know you're going to come dine in the evenings)

(They even threw in two salads for me as a free service, which was far too kind of them!)

All in all an excellent store with great interior design, great food and even better staff! Absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Hakatajima, and a must for any...

Extremely delicious pizza! We wanted to share one pizza as a small meal, but kept ordering more pizzas since they were so good. In the end we ate 4! We especially recommend the island pizzas.
