Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Imizu

We had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant in Toyama. As vegetarians who don’t speak Japanese, we were a bit unsure at first—but the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to help us choose vegetarian options and even surprised us with a complimentary vegetarian dish, which was such a kind gesture.

The food was absolutely delicious—the pizza and pasta were incredibly flavorful and among the best we’ve had in Japan. It truly felt like a warm and thoughtful dining experience. 他の客に出したレモンをレモンティーに入れるなんて信じられません！！

アイスレモンティーを頼んだら、誰かが使った後のレモンが浮かんでいました。レモンの白い部分（わたの部分）が紅茶の色に変色しており、実は削られて、明らかに誰かが一度、使用したレモン。不審に思い、アイスレモンティーを運んできた店員に聞くと「私が絞りました！」と驚きの発言！！

どこの店でレモンティーのレモンを絞って出す店がありますか？

1回目は、「そうですか…」と引き下がりましたが、 何回も訪れて、何回も注文しているアイスレモンティーが、店員が絞って出してきたのは初めてで、わたの部分の変色からして嘘は明らかでした。それ以降、様子を伺うような店員の態度に不信感が増し、再度、店員に「レモンを絞ったといいましたが、どうやって絞りましたか？コロナ禍で衛生面が心配です。素手で絞ったんでしょうか？」と聞くと、質問に対しては返答をせずに「今すぐ交換します。すみません」と謝って来て、取り出したレモンとアイスティーを持って行きました。 新しく持ってきたアイスティーのレモンは綺麗で同じものとは思えないレモンが入っていました。

店員はまずいと思ったのか何回も様子を見に来て、すごく気分が悪かったです。 どうせアイスティーも下げた物に新しくレモンを入れて出して来たのだと思うと気持ち悪く、飲まずに店を出ました。

会計時に普段は中にいるオーナーシェフや奥さんまで様子を見に来ており、意味深に謝られ、確信犯かな…と思いました。 隣のテーブルの人はオードブルのトマトが傷んでいるって話していたのが聞こえて来たので、 今流行りのSDGsを実践しているのかもしれませんね！ いくら材料費など高騰しているとは言え、コロナ禍で衛生面に敏感になっている時代に食べ物を再利用するような店には行けないです。
