Gokoku Chiba NT — Restaurant in Inzai

This restaurant has absolutely abysmal service. During a weekend afternoon, my family and I had to wait to enter to restaurant, behind three other groups of 2, presumably because the restaurant was full. Imagine our surprise when our turn came, we entered the restaurant and discovered 1/3 of the tables vacant. There was no crowd, tables were not full, and the staff was no rushing about in a frenzy to keep up with a busy day of sales. Instead, they were walking around the restaurant as if they were half in a daze, with no sense of urgency and little concern for anything even remotely resembling speedy service.

Add to this the visible irritation on the faces of any staff called to the table to a) take our order, b) bring us our order, c) refill our water, and d) take our money at the register with a barely mumbled "Thank you."

The restaurant seemed to be staffed exclusively with college kids and high schoolers doing a obligatory part-time job. There was no presence of management, or at the very minimum, adult supervision. And it showed. Apathy and complete indifference to whether customers return or not seems to be the first requirement in the Gokoku training manual. So much for...

I want to support restaurants after the difficult few years. But the food served today was knowingly poor.

The children’s plate came with overcooked Kaarage. On closer inspection it looked reheated in the microwave. Whats more my daughters Kaarage was hard chicken skin, no meat.

The rest of the food on the table was ok, but mostly dry and overcooked.

Please inspect the food before you serve it...
