Fantastic value for money!
I ordered the fisherman’s bowl during my visit and it was an absolute delight for the price. The seafood was a true feast for the senses, with a delightful variety of fresh and flavorful options. From the delicate and silky sashimi to the chewy and succulent squid, each bite tasted refreshing. The generous portion was a bonus, and I was thrilled to discover that beneath the “cone” of seafood was in fact more seafood, not rice! If I must nitpick, perhaps two onsen eggs were too much. The rice bowl eventually turned into a slimy seafood congee… But it was still delicious!
I also tried the fried horse mackerel. It was perfect. The fish was perfectly fried, with a crispy skin that gave way to fluffy and tender meat. It was cooked to perfection, not oily at all, but packed with flavor and punch!
The miso soup was a delightful contrast to the fisherman’s bowl. It provided a refreshing break from the rich and indulgent seafood.
I highly recommend Izu Kogen Beer for the delicious seafood and great value for money. I’m definitely looking forward to...
Read moreI am seriously not recommended for all foreign tourists who can't speak Japanese to visit this restaurant.
This restaurant does not provide any service, and there is no English menu. They only give you a tablet that is all in Japanese. No one teaches you how to operate it, and no one tells you what the names of the dishes are. When you have a problem, there is only one waiter who can speak English. You need to wait for him to answer your question when his job is done.
The operation of ordering is very complicated. No one will help you. You need to guess and translate by yourself. Because of this reason, three things appeared on the table that I didn't know at all. At this time, a manager appeared and said that they could not be responsible and asked me to pay the bill and take them all away.
In short, this is a very unfriendly restaurant for international tourists. International tourists are not...
Read moreNot all Japanese people can speak English. This is Japan and you should learn Japanese. My wife and I communicated with them using a translator. They make an effort to talk to us. We should praise them for their efforts. You should not make critical comments like the one below. This is Japan. You should learn Japanese. The service is not bad. This is not a hotel. This is just a store in the town. One girl spoke to us. I was grateful to see her trying her best even though she only had a little English. Also, I don't think it's right to make noise during meals. You three were able to do it, right? I hope you don't ruin...
