Highly recommend this oyster hut. Tabelog rating is 3.56 so you know it’s great. The experience was really fun (cooking your own seafood) and the oysters were very fresh because I went in late October in-season. The oysters were big too! The deep fried oysters were probably our favorite dish 😋. We also liked the butter scallops, fresh scallop, mussels, and corn (I suggest you order cheese as well).

sea of pink inside! everyone given a pink jacket to wear, i suppose it’s on case of oysters or any shellfish juice explosion from the bbq. was recommended by a local friend to visit this area and restaurant. these kakigoya only come out in the winter season and are very popular with the locals. don’t come too late, prob need to queue at peak times of the day. the oysters are so fresh and comes in various sizes. yummy!! also tried the scallops and huge prawns. equally delicious. so plump and juicy and definitely fresh! you should try to experience kakigoya if you’re in the area...

An enjoyable and unique dining experience. We had visited on a Wednesday in January after strawberry picking at a nearby farm and arrived around 1pm. There was no queue but most tables were occupied. We were given our iconic pink jackets and a QR code for easy ordering in English. We brought our own bottled water and there was salt, pepper, ponzu and soy sauce provided.
