Such a gem of a place near the Joren Falls rest area! We always pass it whenever we go to Shimoda and had the chance to stop by for some lunch recently. The menu is pretty simple: sandwiches and coffee. There’s about 5 or so sandwich options and a list of coffee options. We ordered the grilled chicken and the spicy chicken sandwiches ( you have a choice of plain or pepper bread). They’re a great size with fresh ingredients and very filling. Each sandwich comes with a cute tiny jar of pickled veggies. There’s an option to take your order outside and eat at their cute picnic area but it was too hot that day so we ate inside. What a lovely little cafe! We’re so glad we stumbled across this place! The coffee was absolutely delicious (NZ roasters, All Press Coffee beans) and the picnic basket of pickles and a salmon, cream cheese and wasabi sandwich was 👌. Sandwiches are delicious and thick, made with good quality bread and fresh ingredients. Worth every yen!!!

Rustic decoration yet super comfortable. Lo-fi hip-hop background music makes for a very relaxing atmosphere
