Genuine Izakaya Diner "Uotami" Joetsumyoko Station — Restaurant in Joetsu

I'm a New Zealander, first time in Japan here for the skiing. I came here on four occasions after skiing and also visited the other two restaurants (on the ground level) in this building. For me, the food at "Uotami" was the best in terms of taste and presentation. So much better than Japanese Got to try whelk, swordfish, Sakhalin clams, stingray, beef offal hot pot, octopus and some other interesting and exotic dishes over my visits. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the dishes were prepared very quickly. I'll definitely be back again...

Delicious foods. Tried some dishes with beer, excellent, very tasty. Everything matches to beer. Located in a convenient place as it close to Shinkansen station. Better take a reservation in advance, difficult to find a table...
