Sky Lounge Kadena — Restaurant in Kadena

I was finally able to try their food, and I found the menu to be quite limited but still good. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the taco rice was also a solid option.

------Previous Review------ Unfortunately, this place advertises that they are open until 5 pm, but they will close at 4 pm without notice if they aren't busy. The man working there was kind enough to open and let us buy ice cream, but we weren't able to order regular food.

The ice cream was good, and the black cone was just a unique touch (it didn't have any special flavor). At ¥500, it was priced rather high for such a small ice cream cone.

Not much of the food available here though the fried chicken wings served at ground floor were superb and goes well with an ice-cold beer. The draw here is the overlooking view into the Kadena Airfield....hopefully to spot ospreys, stealth fighters and UAVs...

A good place to see the military aircrafts with free parking lot, and no entry fee. Better visit on the weekdays. (Morning or afternoon.)

Dont forget to buy a ice cream or snack to support the local shops at 4F and 1F when you are waiting for the take-off...
