3 ⭐️ This is a teeny tiny cafe with a neat vibe, good food and sufficient coffee. There’s 6 parking spots located directly next to the cafe, if you’re lucky to snag one. (We weren’t and parked at a konbini and walked in). Upon arrival, we waited a short while and were seated in their “balcony” area, where I (at 5ft5in) could not stand up all the way & it was very dark. We got a good laugh out of it. We were then asked to move downstairs, which was no problem. We ordered shortly after we were seated but waited nearly 45 mins for coffee and an hour for our food. I won’t complain about the food - it was good. (Although I much prefer the French toast at other cafes) The coffee was okay. Neither items were mind-blowing or fantastic. That plus the long wait would keep me from coming again. To be fair, I believe there were only 2 young women working & I understand how that would cause such a wait, but it was quite lengthy. Pricing seemed fair, and staff was friendly! Cash/yen

I was lucky enough to stumble across this cafe on the first night I was visiting Okinawa. It was walking distance from my hotel and wasn't a chain restaurant so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. The staff are amazing kind and welcoming and the whole interior was very kitschy and fun. Tons of collectibles and bits of pop culture cover the walls. I ended up eating breakfast here every day I was in Okinawa not only for the quality food but for the conversation and kindness of the staff as well. Without a doubt, What's the Story is a new home away from home.

2nd Izakaya review! 5✨️ the food was delicious! Was impressed with the shrimp and mushroom dish and tempura! Was able to sit upstairs and made a res e vation ahead of time! Lovely, cosy coffee spot for a relaxing breakfast. The coffee jelly wasn't my favorite,I wasn't a fan of the texture. I did enjoy my cold brew coffee! We enjoyed our food! The atmosphere was great! Can't wait to come back! Parking is a little tricky, there is a chart outside the restaurant.

I had reserved a sofa table well in advance for dinner, but when I arrived at the restaurant, I was told the restaurant was "fully booked." It was as if my reservation didn't even exist, and I was made to wait about 20 minutes with no explanation.

I was finally seated, but wasn't shown to the sofa table I had reserved. This was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

To make matters worse, there was both a male and female staff member, but the female seemed more preoccupied chatting with customers at the counter than working. I tried to get her attention, but she prioritized chatting and kept me waiting.

The food was also disappointing.

Overall, this was one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional dining experiences I've ever had. I feel the young staff needs some training. I would not recommend this...

We were very excited to try this place for a while. Both ordered the brown sugar ujii matcha lattes. We pointed to the coffee and said it out loud. They made the wrong drinks. My husband really wanted breakfast but when he asked they only showed us the toast menu. Table next to us got chicken and waffles and they didn't give us the insert with that special in our menu nor did they show it to us when we asked for breakfast options. They were out of the curry so I chose the pork dish. The meat was tough and didn't taste good at all. Our second dish was the beef slop and omelet which also did not taste good apparently. They did not give is any apologies or considerations. What's the story? This is not a good restaurant. Maybe nice to sit for a wrong coffee order but that's it. Way too much ¥ for me to come home and eat...
