江戸前にぎり・活魚 鮨千寿 — Restaurant in Kadoma

My partner's family (Father and Sister in law) arrived for a Dinner meal, being served by the Head-chief/Owner. This was Recommended by my SIL, as a much sort after experience.

Whilst I can't fault the quality of Food and service by the Attending staff (as happens regularly in Japan) I was left with a Poor dining experience, as I was given the immediate "Stink-eye" from the Head-chief that didn't change throughout the meal. This Only appeared to happen to Us, as he Happily made small-talk with other customers and even smiled on several occasions.

On sitting, I tried to take the first available spot at the counter, allowing my Japanese family the Prime spots in front of the Chief and was told to move as he couldn't reach me despite a setting and seat being in that spot?

As the first of the meal was being prepared (by hand and something that I would have loved to have taken pictures off), my Japanese partner asked if I might be able to take a Video of it and was told "No" to any photography. This was a shame as we wanted to show the quality and effort that was being placed by the Chief to another Japanese (Chief that is equally proficient) friend of ours in Australia. This left me rather disappointed and quite at odds with the extremely High standard of Friendliness often seen in Japan, especially to Forieners that are doing their utmost to Immerse and Indulge in the local culture.
