Island Café — Restaurant in Kaizuka

Stopped by at Island Cafe on the way to the airport as it is one of the pet friendly cafes along the way. It is nestled on a man-made island surrounded by housing estates. As pets are not allowed indoors, there only two tables outside for pets.

The unassuming small cafe serves a medium selection of sandos which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the BLT sandos and it was really good. Thick, juicy and fresh. The ham was done perfectly and not too salty.

Wife ordered the tonkatsu special which was clearly one of the best we've tasted so far. Tried a few other tonkatsu sets in Tokyo and Kyoto, but felt that this small neighbourhood cafe was the best. The batter was crumbly and not hard, texture of the pork has the right consistency and it is thicker than those in Tokyo or Kyoto.

モーニングに訪れました。

テラス席犬オッケーは有り難いです。 そしてモーニングが安い！ ドリンク（アイスコーヒー440円）付けてほぼワンコイン。

私はカロリーをあまり摂りたくないのでシンプルなトーストメニュー（104円！）があるのも嬉しい。 これなら頻繁に食べに来れそうです。 食パンも柔らかくて美味しかったです。

マンション街にあるので景色はよくはないですが静かで居心地良かったです。

テラス席は2席で駐車場はお店横に4台ほど停められます。 満車の場合お店の前に2台ほど大丈夫とのことです。

関空の帰りに愛犬と行って来ました🐶🐾駐車場は分かりにくかったですが、3.4台停めれます。 わんちゃんはテラス席のみOKだそうで、この時期や秋なら気持ちよく過ごせそうですが、目の前が郵便局という立地なので郵便局見ながらの食事になります(笑)わんちゃんメニューはなく、お水サービスもないため持参必要です！ やきめしと、フレンチトーストを頂きましたがどちらも美味しかったです♡フレンチトーストは思ってたよりボリュームはないので、小腹が減ってる時には良さそう♪やきめしはボリューミーでした！！ 中にパンなども売ってて、やきめしのお持ち帰りもありました(^^) 店員さんも気...
