Casa Verdi — Restaurant in Kanazawa

For a Japanese restaurant, it has decent Italian-ish food, although very basic and mainstream. Pizzas have the right size and thickness, but they are not cooked in a wood oven. The raw salmon is actually sashimi (I've yet to find some real salmon carpaccio in Japan), and they give you bread only if you order it... Weird. And they play Spanish and Brazilian music instead of Italian, but I guess they sound about the same to Japanese ears. The word "pizza" on the pizza boxes is spelled right, which is quite rare in a country that consistently...

Delicious, reasonably priced, good selection, owners have been in Italy a lot, and very friendly. We have been there often, including having our christmas dinner there with friends. Highly...

プリモランチを選択。前菜、パスタかピザ、デザートで構成されています。数年前はセコンドランチもあったようです。

前菜はどれもおいしくて、何から食べたら正解なのか迷うぐらい。スモークのレバーとクラムチャウダーが印象に残りました。 香箱蟹の生パスタを選んだら、これが本当においしい。柚子が効いていて、蟹の生臭さが消え、蟹のうまみを純粋に味わえました。 限定のため、同行者は、ピザを選択。ミラノ風の少し薄めのピザですが、３０センチあるのでボリュームもあります。 シェアして食べようと話していたので、さりげなく取り分け皿も持ってきてくれました。 おいしかったので、クリスマスオードブルも注文して帰りました。

追記　再訪 前菜 鶏ハムとスモークチーズなどが美味しかったです。 パスタは手打ちのほうれん草のタリアトーレのクリームパスタ。
