Otafuku Awagasaki — Restaurant in Kanazawa

Otafuku Awagasaki is a true local favorite in Kanazawa — and now I understand why. I tried both the geso tempura don and the geso tempura udon, and both were outstanding. The squid was springy and fried to perfection — crisp on the outside and tender inside. The tempura sauce was especially tasty and really elevated the dish.

Even the small-sized bowl was huge — easily the size of a large portion in Tokyo. You definitely get your money’s worth here. The udon was also flavorful with a comforting, well-balanced broth that paired perfectly with the tempura.

１日目のボランティアが終了し、次の日は輪島に現地集合だったので、車で移動中にボランティア仲間から聞いた店を、信号待ち時にたまたま発見。 いかゲソ丼が美味いで〜と連呼されていたので、急遽、右折w 車もたまたま１台停められて、店内へ。 メニューをみて、おぉ、これがいかゲソ丼ね…、後はどんなもんがあるのかな？と一応初めから最後まで目を通す。 結局、いかゲソ丼にミニうどんが付いてくるセットにした。 昼もパンだけだったので、＋１６０円でノーマルサイズに変更。 カウンターだったので、作ってる所を見ながら到着を待つ。 出来立てほやほやをカウンター越しにもらう。 んー、腹減ってるから美味そうですな。 でわでわと、天丼の中からいかゲソを探し食べてみる。 んー、コリコリしてえー食感ですぞ。 ネギと一緒に食べると、ネギの甘さが引き立ちますわ。 少し食べたあと、うどんを食べる。 んんー、結構なボリュームでw 想像していたより器がかなり大きい。 いかゲソ丼より大きいですわ。 やばい…食べられるかな？と思いつつ、いかゲソ丼とうどんを交互に食べる。 うどんも出汁が効いてて美味い。 運転しながら、お腹をクークー鳴らしていたのに、食べ終わったらコーヒーも飲めないくらいお腹パンパンになりました。 んー、満足✕２🫄 ごちそうさまでした〜。 次にボランティアに行く時にも...
