Tulshi — Restaurant in Kanie

I’ve eaten at many India/Nepal curry places throughout my 20 years in Japan and Tulsi is average at best. The atmosphere is like any other place, decorative and unassuming. The service was fine, attentive and friendly. Now, on to my lunch…I ordered the D set which comes with soup, salad, naan, curry, a drink and a piece of tandoori style chicken. Firstly, the salad had way too much dressing on it, while not bad tasting, it was just drowning in dressing. The soup was tasty enough, creamy and satisfying. The naan was a little doughy and not buttered. I got the spinach cheese curry and this is where the review goes downhill. I’ve never had a more bland tasting curry in my life. There was absolutely no seasoning, spice or otherwise. It was disappointing. When I think of curry I think of a blend of spices and pungent smells that compliment the naan, but nope. The chicken was bone in, I prefer it without the bone but it wasn’t bad. The lassi was also good to wash it all down. ナンは普通に美味しいです。　カレーは、少し「しゃびしゃび」した感じのルーです。　沢山あるインドカレー屋の中で→個人的な評価としては、普通！でした。　もっと美味しいお店に昨日行ったばかりなので、少しだけ残念でした。 再来店することは無いと思いますが、お店は繁盛していたので、常連客は沢山いると思います。

The naan is usually good.　The curry is a little "sushy" roux.　Among the many Indian curry restaurants → my personal evaluation is normal!
