カノヤバル — Restaurant in Kanoya

Excellent.

A cut above the rest. Nestled away in what appears at first to be a grotto on the fringes of town is Kanoya Bar.

Through a well lit arch out of the darkness of the car park you walk into an unbelievably vast room full of all different types of artwork;classical, revival, renaissance, pop and a small stage for events.

Walking past the walls of this room lined with a variety of plants and other decor funds you in the restaurant itself.

Extremely friendly staff greet you and take you to your table.

I ordered wine, two forms of salad, steak, pizza and a side of well crisped French fried potatoes and all were exquisite.

All ingredients were fresh, with original seasoning and very, very filling.

Kanoya Bar’s chefs know how to cook steak to perfection and the variety on the menu was phenomenal.

The prices were perfectly suited to the quality of food, and the beers and drinks were large sized and nomihoudai (all-you-can-drink) available as well. The ambience? Unforgettable with a local artist who having drawn a map on the ceiling with different areas representing different countries, delicacies, people and even architecture.

The owner was so friendly! He came out and showed us around his whole restaurant where he also offers live music and art, banquet or special events, and private couples sections.

店構えは某夢の国の思わせるような入り口ですが、一歩店内に入るとバルでは眩しいぐらいの照明です。 個人的には入り口の怪しさで期待して入店したのであまりの明るさにギャップを感じたのでもう少し照明落としたらバランスが良いかなと思いました。 壁や天井や黒板のアーティスティックな描画も良く、テーブルの脚としても使われているドラム缶にも色鮮やかな彩色で雰囲気も良かったです。 料理は薄味でそれぞれ美味しかったです。 単品では美味しいんです。 ですがお酒と合うかと言われれば、なぜか進まないんですよね、お酒が。 まだ初回ですのでお酒に合うおつまみを次の機会に探してみたいと思います。

テーブル席が個室になっていてお店の雰囲気もよかったです。 5千円のコースを頼みましたが値段の割にボリュームは少なめだった気がします。 ドリンクを提供されたとき、無愛想にラストオーダーですと言われました。 注文終了前にラストオーダーのお知ら又はラストオーダーになりますが追加のご注文はございませんか？などの一言があるといいと思います。 最後にデザートが出てこなかったのがとても残念でした。 ネットで予約した際コースの内容にもクチコミにもデザートが書かれているので出し忘れかな？と思うのですが、女性の店員さんの愛想が良くなかったこともあり聞けませんでした。 料理の味...
