I have been a victim of the cashiers in this cafeteria twice. The first time was they failed to remove the display foods that was already sold out. I ordered at the cashier and paid with my suica, then suddenly they realised that my order was sold out. Then I told them to change to the available one with the same price as my previous order and I was surprised that they asked me to pay again. I insisted that I did (I almost paid again because I was holding up the line and did not want to make a scene) and the lady finally gave up and told her colleague “しらんけど”. That was a terrible experience since other people might think I am being dishonest. I began to question my own reality if I really did pay. They DO NOT HANDOUT RECEIPTS so there’s no way to prove my payment at that very moment. Only in the following day I confirmed from my Suica transaction list that I really did pay. Then just recently I ordered a set meal with a small dish (こばち). I made sure to clearly say セトです and the cashier lady even repeated what I said to confirm my order. I distinctly heard her mention the correct amount of my set meal plus the small dish and again paid by my Suica. Then suddenly her colleague serving miso soup and rice reconfirmed and insisted that I ordered only with rice and asked me to pay for the miso soup. After checking my suica transaction list the next day, I found out they changed me the full price for the set meal and I paid extra for that miso soup . These could have been avoided if they upgraded their point-of-sale system and hand out receipts. The amount is just shouted out loud and only the small screen of Suica reader displays the amount.
