Maton Bokujo — Restaurant in Kesennuma

A great restaurant for yakiniku (Japanese-style barbecue). In addition to the local specialty, Kesennuma Horumon (grilled pork innards, eaten with cabbage and Worcestershire sauce), they also have kalbi, harami, and other tasty cuts of meat. They also have spicy Chinese-style hot pot that's excellent for sharing with friends. I'd personally recommend the reimen cold, spicy noodles, which are a specialty from Morioka. It's really, really good! The booths here are cordoned off, so you have a bit of privacy, and when I'm finished eating here, I'm always surprised by how much less than expected the bill...

Tasty yakiniku. It’s a great place to go eat and drink with friends. Prices are reasonable. You’ll be able to smell it from blocks away - a good thing as long as you’re not vegan...

気仙沼ホルモンが食べたくて行きました。 綺麗なお店でお手頃価格で美味しい気仙沼ホルモンを食べたければここのランチがオススメです！

人手が足りてないようで、色々と対応に時間がかかるという旨の貼り紙がありました。幸い、今回は混んでなかったのでなんの問題もなく気持ちの良い対応をして頂きました。なお、注文はタブレットから出来るので店員さんを待つ必要はありません。

ランチのホルモン定食は、大盛りライスに豚汁、千切りキャベツ、そしてたっぷりの気仙沼ホルモンのセットで750円。かなりお得です。ホルモンはレバー有り無しが選べますが、ここのレバーは美味しいので苦手な方も是非一度は食べてみて欲しいです。ホルモンはひとつひとつが大きめカットなので焼いても食べ応えがある大きさなのが嬉しいです。しっかり味なので、気仙沼ホルモンとセットのウスターソースはかけなくても充分なくらいです。

席は小上がりとテーブルの両方あり、全ての席が半個室のようになっているので人目が気にならなくていいです。
