Kozy's Pizza — Restaurant in Kitanakagusuku

After over 2 years of frequenting Kozy’s, this evenings experience was far from what we have always enjoyed whenever eating takeout. We were excited to find out it was open late during a weekday after New Years because usually it is closed early before dinner time during the week, 16:00 last order usually. 2 pizzas were ordered for take out and one was fine as expected however, the second pizza, was a half and half German pizza and delux. The delux half was ok however, the German half had no potatoes and was only cheese. A call was made to Kozy’s and said they used potatoes but there were none added. Still not satisfied, we returned to Kozy’s to see if they would fix the problem and the staff said we added potatoes without even looking at the pizza or an apology. For years my family enjoyed Kozy’s and always looked forward to eating here. It was the best tasting pizza on the planet, but after tonight’s experience, it was a major unexpected disappointment to start off the New Year. Edit: Unfortunately the last three times we came here were not pleasant. One time they were out of dough at 5pm on a Saturday, next time they only had the small size dough, today at 5:45 (3 hours and 15 minutes before closing) we were told they were no longer accepting dining……no one was there and they only had one large dough left. As much as I like their pizza they are too unreliable. If you run out every night then start with more.

What a hidden gem, we live about 5 minutes away and drive by the sign all the time. Decided to try it out because there was so much traffic heading towards Rycom. The pizza is some of the best in Okinawa. Crust is really crispy, reminds me of Papa Johns. Some other Japanese pizza places are a bit weird with their toppings or uncooked dough (もち-もち style). We tried the German (mashed potatoe, corn, bacon and extra cheese) and the Grazia (garlic, black olive, bacon and Italian sausage) both were amazing. I thought people were exaggerating but this is the best pizza I’ve ever had!!! I’ve tried multiple places here in Okinawa but this place beats ANYWHERE I’ve been. We got the super Supreme and the teriyaki chicken. My only complaint is I wish there was more chicken. Both pizzas were so delicious and flavorful with perfect crust. Like someone else said, it’s one of the first pizzas that you don’t feel bad after eating. It’s not greasy at all and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. It feels like a cheat code!
