Grateful's — Restaurant in Kobe

It’s a burger shop fronting Suma Beach in Kobe. They have a nice tropical ambiance going on especially in the summer. They have couches and chairs on the first floor inside, and a second floor that feels beachy. They also got some English songs playing in the background, which lets you forget momentarily that you’re not in Japan and someplace tropical. The food was delicious! My friends and I ordered their NY BLT, fish and chips, and onion rings. The burger was delicious. As for the fish and chips, according to my British friend, it was one of the best and close-to-authentic fish and chips he had in Japan (considering that he had a veeery short list Japanese restaurants serving authentic fish and chips). Got a NYC BLT with fries and a melon soda: total was 2k yen. Burger was a bit messy, but I liked it (wish the bacon was crispy though). Fries were great and had an outer texture similar to curly fries in the US Melon soda's always great: wish it were more common in the US Great view of the beach here: there's an 2nd story that's outside, but I stayed inside cause outside was humid and hot

Located by the JR Suma Station (beach side). This restaurant offers a beautiful view of the ocean while you have your meal.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and easy going. Great music and there is a nice patio available - perfect on those sunny days.

The staff were nice and friendly.

The food here is excellent - their speciality are hamburgers. They also serve fish & chips, salads, locomoco and more. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. I really liked the onion rings.

Definitely worth checking out if you are in Suma.
