What an incredible meal and experience. One of the highlights of our trip. We capped a long day of road tripping to the Obama area to end up back in the outer Kyoto area looking for dinner and found this GEM! Fantastic service and kindness from the chef and his mother. Truly kind and sweet people. FYI cash only. The food was so good. From the 5 piece assorted sashimi, the eel special, Japan salad, whale bacon, tempura assortment and more. The chef capped the meal off with a special bonus corn tempura which being from the Midwest USA, it was the perfect capper to the meal. Who knew corn tempura was a thing and could be so good!!!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience and perfect end to our day! Domo arigato!

自分が知ってる中では京都1番店かと思います。 お店の雰囲気、丁寧な京言葉使い、丁寧な接客、魚の鮮度や蕎麦と天ぷら(塩で食べさせて貰えます、絶品です)等の味、どれも文句付けようが有りません。時々売られている野菜を野菜好きな奥さん買いましたが、これも安くて絶品でした。 唯一文句付けるとしたら、交通の不便さですかね？自分はマイカーあるんで全く気になりませんが、交通機関は桂駅→市バスを使わねばならず単独では困難かと…。 でも紅葉🍁シーズンに大原野神社(午後のよもぎ団子とよもぎ茶最高👍)、正法寺と組み合わせて行けば🙆🏻‍♀️まʓ♡かと(昼／漁火さん→午後大原野神社(よもぎ団子とよもぎ茶も堪能)、正法寺)、今問題になっているオーバーツーリズムで常にごちゃごちゃしている洛中と違い本来の京都を感じれると思います。

お刺身5種盛りは少し物足りないさを感じました。ミニ海鮮丼の方が量も内容もお得に感じます。なのでみなさん行ってらっしゃるお昼の海鮮丼がやはりコスパ良いと思います。 味はどれも美味しかったのでまたお昼味わってみたいです。 因みにクレジットカード利用不可です。

This place is a family owned business, mother and son. We came in very hungry after a long day of car travel, and had a great time. The food was delicious, service was great and atmosphere was lovely. The chef made us corn tempura after our meal as a treat. Plus the parking lot is great! (because Kyoto parking can be very stressful...
