We decided to try this Indian restaurant after seeing its good reviews and because it was conveniently located nearby. Although we’re not vegan, the wide variety of vegan options piqued our curiosity, so we gave it a shot.
We ordered two curries - one medium spicy, one mild - along with two garlic naans and samosas. The curries were absolutely delicious, each with distinct flavors and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I’d go so far as to say it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. The samosa was also very good, though I felt it could have had slightly more ingredients in it’s filling. Compared to samosas I’ve tried at other places, this one seemed to have fewer ingredients inside, but the accompanying sauce was excellent and made up for it. The garlic naan was fantastic - flavorful, and perfectly garlicky. My only wish was that it had been a little larger!
The service was another highlight. The person who took our order was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. When I asked for recommendations, they guided us thoughtfully and helped us choose dishes we truly enjoyed.
The only downside was the restaurant’s interior, which felt a bit outdated. Like many places in Japan, it seemed like it hadn’t changed much in the past 20+ years, though that does give it a certain charm.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Whether you’re a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place is a great option with delicious food and...

I have allergies to all nuts, eggs, and coconut which makes being able to even eat Indian food difficult at most restaurants. Here, they made a special, separate batch of curry base just for me. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants across the world (being Indian) and this is the first time such a service has both been offered, and actually been free of said allergens. Beyond this, the gentleman who attended to our party of 6 was courteous, warm, friendly, attentive, and helpful. When we left, even the chef bid us a good evening.
The flavours were beyond compare. They reminded be exactly of what my mother and grandmother used to make, in the best possible way. A perfect balance of spices across all of our dishes. Two of our party cannot eat any spice and even they were happy, which is another rarity for them and Indian food.
We went back a second time before leaving Kyoto, and the experience was just as good as the first time. Overall an excellent experience that everyone should try out at least once if you happen to be...
