Hana Akari — Restaurant in Minamioguni

Found this place whilst staying at the Kurokawa Onsen. Appears to be run by the husband and wife who are both very sweet.

Made a reservation for 7PM for my partner and I. When we arrived the lady greeted us at the entrance.

We started with a salad and vegetable soup for the entrees. I would have been satisfied with the soup alone it was that delicious.

I had the beef burger patty and grilled lemon chicken. Both were full of flavour and juicy.

They allowed my partner to order the tomato pasta from the lunch menu. The chef told us he makes the pasta fresh himself.

Restaurant: the restaurant is run by the couple who have 50years experience as a chef in different countries. They are very nice friendly. And thank you for serving us in late evening.

Environment: the indoor environment of this restaurant is relax and warm, letting you feel like you are dining at home.

Food: the quality of food is good. We had teppan beef and chicken. And we also tried their special dish which was presented exactly the same as the poster of the restaurant.

This couple and place deserves all the love I can give it. Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere, the highlight of our three week trip through the whole of Japan.

There’s free parking across the street, it’s a small neighborhood but google maps directions were correct.

The food, absolutely amazing. I think I’ve read reviews saying they’ve been chefs all around the world for their whole professional careers and it shows.
