Self-service restaurant by a cute elderly couple. Ginger pork was amazing. Highly recommend. Katsudon was also great. The cutlet was thick and crispy and the egg was delicious. Sadly there was too little sauce so the rice was kinda too dry for our liking. The red beef sukiyaki was also very good, everything in the dish was delicious but we thought the beef was just a tad too overcooked and again, too little sauce and flavour got too diluted by rice. The sides and pickles that came with all dishes were also really good, one of the best we had. The portions were kinda huge. We wished we ordered a gyudon to try.
The auntie was very kind and friendly to all overseas tourists. Always had google translate on ready to communicate. Although she was thankful I could speak enough Japanese because it really saves time and misunderstanding.

The couple that run it are a lovely team, small cosy restaurant with big windows overlooking the beautiful landscape, with western and Japanese style seating. It's self service so help yourself to green tea and water. Menu available with English translation and everything made in front of you in the open kitchen. V good value (730 yen for Kitsune soba) and excellent quality of food....
