A very humble local sushi restaurant in Miyako recommended by a local tour guide didn't disappoint at all! The menu is simple, the sushi and sashimi are top of the line fresh and delicious but the price is very affordable. The sushi set has tuna toro, clams, fresh prawn, snapper, etc, and also comes with miso soup (cooked with fish bone-, so be careful when feeding small children). We fed 3 bellies full for less than $80, which could never happen anywhere else with that kind of fresh, high-quality fish. Got to try scallop nigiri and Miyago beef nigiri, and if you can eat natto, the Stamina bomb is also a really yummy dish.
