The english name of this establishment is Epurontei and we booked it through Rakuten travel ( I don't think they have their own webpage anymore). There is very little information about this ryokan online in English.||||We stayed at this ryokan for 1 night whilst driving through the coastline of Miyazaki/Nichinan. Location wise it is between Aoshima/Horikiri Pass and Sun-Messe/Udo Shrine which are all within a short drive away. We had a hard time trying to find the driveway into the place at night (signboard was not lit up) and had to rely on our google maps to locate the place.||||The complex and rooms are modern and refurbished recently. The standard room with terrace was large enough for our group of 3. They have tons of power points available and the bedding and pillows were all rather comfortable. Take note that as if with normal ryokans, the shower facilities are located outside the rooms. The seaview from the terrace as well as the common dining areas was breathtaking - try to catch the sunrise/sunset if you can!||||There was very little if any english spoken by the staff but we got by just fine.||||The kaiseki style dinner was really well executed and showcased fresh seafood from the are. In fact, we only heard about this place as the restaurant was recommended for its food in our guidebook used by local Japanese. The Japanese breakfast was good as well, although strangely enough they didn't...

Read moreWe stayed 2 nights in 2 of their 3 rooms (one in the 2-floor room) and we wish we stayed here longer. The location was central to go all over south Miyazaki area. We enjoyed spiny lobster, yakiniku and lots of seafood all within an easy 30min drive.
The hospitality and cleanliness was unparalleled. The building looks recently remodeled and very modern and super spacious. We had a terrace that we didn't use, but definitely used the bath overlooking the ocean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and simple japanese, and a great way to start the morning while looking over the water. We slept with the doors open to hear the ocean. We regret not having lunch/dinner there, but will definitely come back for a...
