No usual fish like salmon and red tuna which I appreciated. All local fish from the area. The sushi was good except the sardine one was too fishy for me. Looks like it is a local fav. He speaks only Japanese so take your translator out if you are not Japanese. Not fancy type of place....

A handwritten note told us exactly which type of fish each piece of sushi was — a small but beautiful gesture that made the experience feel even more personal.
As rain poured outside, we were served warm tea and sake, along with a dish the chef kindly called a “gift from the gods.” We smiled, laughed, and shared stories using a translation app — and somehow, conversation flowed effortlessly.
So don’t worry if you don’t speak Japanese. With openness and the help of a translator, this will be one of the most joyful, heartfelt evenings of your trip.
