Ruankaew Thaifood — Restaurant in Miyota

Most authentically Thai restaurant I’ve encountered so far in Japan (and I’ve been searching desperately). We’ve ordered almost half the menu by now and haven’t encountered a single thing that isn’t delicious.

Note there is a menu on the that is “reservation only” so you need to call in advance for certain items.

Since it is authentically Thai, beware of spice levels.

Great Thai authentic restaurant from real Thai chef. Although the place is small with 4-5 tables but it's fill with Thai cuisine with real Thai taste. For anyone who cannot eat spicy much, I suggest to tell chef to reduce spiciness. The restaurant is like family own restaurant so be patient and wait a little...

御代田の地に、ルアンゲオなる宴の館あり。18号の道すがら、旅人の心を捕らえて離さぬ、タイの風吹く隠れ処だ。

扉を開ければ、トムヤムクンの香りが竪琴の調べのごとく漂い、パクチーの緑はまるで森の精霊の囁き。されば、たちまち南国の夢に誘われる。

料理の数々は、吟遊詩人の歌にも勝る物語だ。 グリーンカレーは、辛さの剣とココナッツの甘やかな盾が織りなす戦いの詩。 フォーガーは、清らかなるスープにナンプラーの塩風がそよぐ、旅の休息を謳う調べ。 パッタイの麺は、まるで恋人たちの糸が絡み合うように、甘酸っぱく心を縛る。 店の主人は、さながら魔法の調合師。鍋と炎を操り、遠きタイの魂を皿に封じ込める。

館の内は清らかで、飾りは控えめなれど、仏像の微笑みは星の光のごとく穏やか。木のテーブルは、旅人の疲れをそっと受け止め、チリの小瓶は冒険への誘いだ。給仕する者たちの笑顔は、まるで春の陽光。言葉少なくとも、その温もりは私の胸に届き、異邦の地に故郷の安らぎを思わせる。

ルアンゲオは、ただの食事の場ではない。御代田の静寂に響く、タイの歌と踊りの祭りだ。皿を空にし、口に残るレモングラスの余韻は、まるで古の詩人が残した最後の韻のよう。この館を去る時、私の魂は満たされ、新たな旅の唄を口ずさむ。嗚呼、ルアンゲオ、かくも麗しき宴の記憶を...
